Statistically, I think only Bobby Fischer and Paul Morphy ever were close to you in term of growth, but even both of them probably relaxed in this time of year due to the Christmas season and you're outworking them! They were also both cray.

Vlad my dad told my sister he'd buy her a present from the toy store if she learnt to play chess, and I'm fairly sure she wouldn't lose to most noobs rated around 1000 she knows basic strategy and a few tactics and a little bit about the opening, but the main reason she can compete at a 1000 rating level is because I just kept on telling her not to hang pieces left right and centre, so she may not know much theory, but by not hanging pieces and just playing what looks like the best move she can play decently well. Btw 1000 is not an advanced player it's still a bad noob level chess player, 1200 is a noob who plays more consistently and then so on until about 1600-2000 which is considered a good noob-no longer a noob and anything consistently above 2100 is considered master play.

Vlad I don't know how you considered your blitz games to have improved, your opponents are still terrible in your last blitz game your opponent managed to hang a queen a rook a knight and a bishop, all you did was accept the offerings that he gave you.

The game before that your opponent hung a bunch of pawns and a knight then blundered into a mate.

The game before that you and your opponent hung pieces left right and centre.

I'm sorry if I'm not terribly impressed in your jump in rating when both you and the people you play against hang pieces everywhere Vlad.

Rumor has it that Carlsen is considering retirement rather than having to face this guy next year.

This is ridiculous. Yes, we all understand that its a tremendous rating increase, but I am not good enough yet to challenge any of these players. Is this possibly a good forecast of what will happen in my career, sure. Is it reality as of now, no.  So please stop spreading misinformation. You made up those quotes, the people who you quoted never said that. chess improvement (like anything else you are new at) comes rapid at first then levels off, a ratings jump initially like this is common and to be expected.....but rating improvement gets exponentially harder as you go up...maybe only 50 or 100 points in a year once you hit around 1500....that's from one (me) who ran an over the board chess club for many years and has seen hundreds of different players

I was at 500 at December 20th, and now I'm 767, so I too took a big 267 jump up lately
