though its not too much black would be better off trying 1...Rf6 hoping that white will capture with the rook with 2.Rxd6+ Rxd6 and go into the theoretically winning but difficult queen vs rook ending. Instead white can calmly play 2.Kg2 Ke7 and after something like Qe3+ or basically any other queen move that isnt along the f-file or the b8-h2 diagonal and try to mate with the queen and rook or trade the rooks off and win with the queen against the bishop ending.
Is the only way to get out of pins is to pin back?!

Well, you can move the valuable piece away to get rid of the pin. Everything depends on the position !
