Is there an online way to find nearby players?

go to online chess (menu, left) - then to the right "view players" and then sort by country
Does anyone know if there's some way to get in contact with people in my area who play chess online without going to the local chess club (mine is too costly for me). Perhaps there's someone else like me who plays on chess.com every day and goes to my school for example: how could I find them?
