Is there any platform with a community of people that like to discuss the games at conclusion?

Hey -- I started playing on here a year ago, and was hoping Id be able to find people to kind of talk about strategy and discuss games after playing, but people just seem to move on immediately after a game is done and never really acknowledge their opponent. If they do, it's usually trash talk or racist comments. Seriously bottom of the barrel. You're lucky if you get a gg out of someone. So is there a platform with people who are genuinely interested in the game and discussing tactics and the like? Do post-mortems in chat when he game is done? Is Lichess or Chess24 any better? Or is this just the nature of the internet?

It looks like you mainly play blitz and bullet with low rated players (rated 100 -200).

I would guess that people who would be willing to take the time to discuss games are more likely to be those who spend more than a few minutes on a game.

And those who have invested the time to learn about openings, endgames, etc.

That happens more often in over the board games because people have spent hours on a game and often have to wait a while until the next round anyway. If it was an interesting game, they are sometimes willing to spend a few minutes going over the position.

That situation doesn't occur in online chess. The next game is just a click away.

What you can do is to take the time to analyze your own losses, to figure out where you went wrong.

You have a winning position. But you have almost no time left. (7 seconds)

What should you try to do? This is the kind of position you should have a pretty clear idea on how to proceed.

Failing that, you should have a clear idea on how to draw.

Thanks mate. Yeah, I typically go through analysis of my games real quick afterward, and 100% you are right that endgames are my weakness, especially in Blitz, where if I face an opponent who trades all the pieces against me, I’m not gonna be able to solve a King and Pawn endgame. But it’s even just wanting to give a compliment to an opponent and pick their brain on their thought process sometimes, but they’re gone before I can even say, Nice job! I had an opponent who checkmated me with their King and Queen and had walked their King deep into my territory after I had basically ravaged their defenses. Their queen was the only piece they had left if I remember correctly, and they had exactly one winning move and it was a super sick find. I literally thought I had all of the checks covered but there was one I missed. My question would have been, did they see the series of checks all the way through because I was even surprised at some of the King moves they made— like while playing was wondering why they traveled into my territory instead of hiding behind pawns. But there was never an opportunity to check in about it.

I usually play rapid or daily, but I'm open to an unrated game followed by a discussion via a classroom chat if you'd like.
