Is there some kind of 'cheat' app, or whatever, that can disconnect you when you are about to win?

I've been a member of this site since 2012, or maybe 2013. I've played well over 22,000 games of blitz, 10/10 and over the years I've had countless games where I am massively up on material, but my opponents are massively up on time, but they refuse to resign and play on, knowing that I am 1 or 2 moves away from checkmate, and then, as I go top play the mating move, my connection disconnects, for just enough time to run my clock down, then it reconnects and I've lost the game by time-out. I've just had such a game now, where, with 15 seconds left on the clock, I was up against a king and a pawn, had the pawn blocked on the A file, the king on the a file, a queen on the B file, and a pawn about to promote to queen. His only move was to move his king to the square where my pawn would promote with check, which I did, and then that queen would move across to the A file, checkmate. So, with 15 seconds left, I promoted with check, and immediately played the mate, only my clock started flashing and the move was never made and my clock ran down. This has happened so many times, and is SO very annoying. It cannot be coincidence. Has anyone had the same happen too often to be chance???

The clients never directly connect to each other, so your opponent can't impact your connection to the site.

The problem could be lag or disconnects but they aren't being caused by your opponents.
