I sat here for 5min, then I lost the game I was playing when I just open a new window to look up whom have made me to wait for this time.

This is called game abandonment. Basically, before this wa implemented, people would wait until ou won on time if you were winning. So they made it to where if you were inactive for 5 minutes you lost.
