Kramnik or Anad? Who do you think is better?

It's total crap...
Topalov should have to go through candidates as well, he shouldn't be able to bypass it just because he's "former world champion" or whatever bad reason's given in his defence.
Well said. Topalov had the opportunity to legitimize FIDE's paper champions that posed 1993-2006. He and his manager demonstrated to the world where that roll resides.
He is not a former champion.

I would like to see Anand win because I prefer his style of play and (as far as I can tell from the chess media) his character better. However, I do not dislike Kramnik and admire his achievements greatly.
I think it may be overstating the case to say that Kramnik is a better match player. he has, of course, done pretty well in matches since beating Kasparov in 2000, but he had also lost matches before that (to Shirov, of course). It's more a case of Anand's match temperament being brought into question.
Whatever happens, it should be a fascinating clash of styles. I can't wait! I hope chess.com can cover the games 'live'!
