I don't understand. Are you implying that a handshake is an important part of a resignation?
Kramnik-Topalov Hand Shake after their game!?
Yes, kind of. Dont all players shake hands after a game. If these two do not do that, I am just curious as to how do they indicate each other that they would like to resign the game.

Topalov didn't shake hands with Vishy during their World cup championship encounter in 2010 and had also said that he won't speak to Vishy during the tournament (during post-game analysis, or even while offering for a draw, he'll do it through the arbiter). Vishy had made a comment in the press stating that maybe we could've shook hands through the arbiter.
Hi All,
It is well known that Kramnik and Topalov do not shake hands during any of their games after their infamous World Championship match.
While I can understand it wouldn't be too awkward to start their game without shaking hands, how do they conclude a game?
For eg. if say Topalov faces a mate in 3-4 moves, does he just look at Kramnik and make some eye-contact indicating he is resigning or does he just abruptly pick up the score sheet and signs it or does he call the arbiter or what.
Was just curious about this. Any info or comments would be welcome :).
