The website isn't even trying to attract chess players anymore, just spammers for the forums.
Leaving site

They don't even care that half the posts are about how bad the website is, just so long as people continue to come and post without even playing 50 games.

I'll still be angered that I have to look at pages and pages of spam to find one decent post.
well man with such a big following (chess.com) i fear we wont get many good posts

Chess.com isn't even going to do that much to slow down the decline of their website caused by kids who are only here because their access to other websites is blocked. Chess.com is only enjoying the popularity they have because covid lockdowns forced everyone online, and school restrictions force all the kids onto chess.com. Chess.com offers a lot to lonely people who can't connect with anyone else, and not a lot to people who are actually serious about chess (except the very few who make money off of sponsorships and things. All the money comes from people who are drawn to this website and pay for this wonderful experience).

Quite sad the abuse on here & trolling. I have lost too many friends to suicide via cyber bullying in the past. Doubt me a Ph.d candidate in psych. In the process of deletion, must say chess.com won’t be missed.

I hate to see you go. There is a ghost of a chance that chess.com might actually be interested in improving the experience of members on their platform, but unfortunately I think their real motive can be more adequately summed up by the words "web traffic". Best of luck to you on your journeys.

50 game in each mode except variants, and 10 games in daily maybe? + 30 day membership. (any basic-premium)

The call-girl spam could easily be eliminated by requiring accounts created at Indian geolocations to play 50 games before being permitted to chat in the forums.
That wouldn't stop it. A 50 game requirement for all new accounts might eliminate a lot of it but it would also turn off some number of regular members as well who would likely just leave the site.
To be frank, regular members play more than 50 games. Likelier than not, the "members" deterred by a 50 game minimum to chat are "members" the chess.com community would prefer not to have around.

Good riddance.
