He streams all his tournament games and then makes a video about each game.

He just lost again. It looks like Kovalchuk is losing so at least Levy won't be in last place alone.

True but that's understandable i don't think that would effect play that much (ex hikaru and Magnus both get watched and there are streams of them ) once you get used to it

If I recall gothem struggled a little bit the tournament before this one partly cause he wasn't used to the time zone

He just played a good game and won.

Finally Levy won in round 7, it just finished.

Maybe that'll give him a bit of confidence and motivation going into the last 2 games tomorrow.

He played really well in round 7, a very good game other than the one miss that was completely unfindable. I’d bet that even magnus wouldn’t find that, it was the craziest line I’ve ever seen

I don't know why he chose to draw against a 300 lower rated player... he will lose 7 rating points, almost as much as a loss against a higher rated player. Does he simply want the tournament to be over? Or was he afraid to lose (-17 rating points)?

Maybe the time management played a role. Levy had about 24 or 27 minutes left while his opponent had 1 hour and 11 minutes. Big difference. Levy usually messes up when short on time and didn't want to risk it maybe.

I used to watch him a lot but by now I prefer others.

If I watch him it's usually gte cuz funny, but I find his GM attempt interesting so I'm following his games. Together with his coach's commentary it's quite instructive.

Yeah, doing bad in a tournament is no big deal, it's all the tournaments combined that matter and he started off this journey with 2 very good tournament results.
