One of the commentators sounds like Maurice Moss.

Nakamura resigns.

"There's like five hundred and fifty four winning moves." Haha :)

Kramnik is always strong in that Petrosian variation.

I corrected my statement. I loled so hard. :)

The Petrosian system is becoming my favorite opening as White- it's eminently playable at the 1600-2000 level as far as I can see. Space advantage, simple developing moves, big center, and a clear plan of clamping down on and using e4. Always nice to see the GMs using an opening I use too; it's like getting a few free ideas.

round 3 looks terrible.

all of them heading towards draws.

At least Naka played something interesting.

Anand has good winning chances

Vishy could be down 3 queens and you'd say he had good winning chances.

No interest in this tournament?

Massive when it was a proper tournament.

Now it feels like more of a circus show.

Such a shame to see what was once regarded as the Worlds Best tournament so quickly devolve into a silly side-show.

:(

As much as certain people like to talk about how much more exciting blitz chess is, the actual fans seem to disagree.  We see no fans in the  playing hall during the blitz chess and a good crowd during the standard chess.

2 months later and Caruana is now -30 elo from his all time high.

Yup, puts Carlsen's sustained high rating into perspective.

Naka blew Adams off the board today...really tight play.
