Depends
long castle or short castle
I really dislike when players like you resort to accusing me of “bragging” because I mention I’m a stronger player. I literally stated that because you said castling is for weak players, which directly contradicts the example of you vs me. I looked at some of your games and your playing is actually not that bad, imagine if you castled! You would probably be 1000 by now honestly.
Offering to coach me is the most absurd idea I’ve ever heard.
Your “style” will not proper play. And beating someone in the 1000’s isn’t that amazing… maybe you castled?
Don’t you love it when 800s think they know better than GMs. Loser.
Also, I don’t play puzzle rush on chess.com. I don’t have a membership, so I do that on lichess.
Sorry, I don’t waste my time playing people I won’t learn from. It’s 10 year olds like you that clog the forums after beating your dad in a chess match and you think you’re the next magnus carlsen or something.

You can’t even try to give advice anymore without some 600 troll trying to reinvent the wheel. It’s kinda sad.
And herein lies the problem with the forum. A genuine OP question. A genuine and thorough reply by NOB. And a 600-700ish expert discounting the advice.
And for the op of the forum
As many others have said it really depends on the position, but I think I have a tendency to kingside castle more often due to my opening choice and how it allows me to castle quicker.
Opposite side castling can lead to some interesting games, as each side is trying to breakthrough with their attack before the opponent breaks through your defense.
Usually when I don’t castle I’m either being extremely aggressive or I’m being prevented from castling, which leaves my king exposed in the middle if my attack doesn’t succeed and allows the opponent to attack my king.
I didn’t read what I type so there’s probably a lot of grammar mistakes but eh whatever
I might add that, in most openings, castling is part of the theory. You’ll know which way to castle based off that. For example, in the Sicilian, castling queenside is book sometimes.

Which Sicilian ? There are so many XD
just joking I know
I get it. From your perspective, castling isn’t good. Even though I differ with you I respect it. But for me castling is safer.
