Looking for serious Vote Chess group

Vote Chess is a type of chess on Chess.com.
A team can time out if nobody from the team enters a move before the time elapses.
It helps to have at least 5 or 6 players since at least 1 of these will usually submit a move. Less than that, and the chances of a move being missed increases.

Good question. I have heard different things.
It either chooses the one that was voted for first, or the one that was voted for last.
I think it chooses the one voted for last.

"I think it chooses the one voted for last."
Then by design it encourages late voting. Hopefully, chess.com will fix this flaw.
Actually, this is better if your philosophy is to encourage discussion and more group consensus.
In our group, players are encouraged to wait until the last 12 hours or so to vote. This gives time for people to submit candidate moves and discuss them.

Why do you want group consensus if you are voting? The point of voting is to represent your decision not to agree with another person's decision. Sounds like mob rule, who is the one that concedes then?
I would rather join a group where each individual makes a vote as soon as they feel confident about it. Then while they wait for their opponents to vote, they discuss why they voted for the moves chosen.
There are many groups (probably most actually) that play the way you described.
But Vote Chess can be managed in differnt ways depending on the goals of your group.
In my group, I wanted to create an environment where Vote Chess players could learn from each other. So I encourage discussion of moves. It has worked well. Several of the players, including myself, have been able to improve their own game from the things they've discussed in Vote Chess.
Of course, in the end, people can vote what they want. We have split votes all the time.
Here is an excerpt from this forum post on my group forum:
"
We play 2 day/per move games. This seems to work well because it gives people in different time zones an opportunity to analyze and discuss candidate moves. Because we have 48 hours to move, please reserve your vote for the last 12 - 15 hours of our move. This will allow you time to consider other candidate moves as well as get valuable feedback about any candidate moves you have submitted.
I have always been surprised how 2 masters can look at the same position and say 2 different things about it. Well, we are not masters here at Pizza, but the same thing happens often. When you submit a candidate move, or are agreeing with or disagreeing with one that was submitted by another player, please give some reason. Even as little as 1 line such as: "I agree with c5 because it helps support the center" or an analysis you have done on your own posted in the Chess.com chessboard.
"

This ends up with the strong players just playing the strong players on another team. The weaker players aren't really making moves.
Yes. This is a real issue. But we take measures to encourage weaker players to participate.
You can manage vote chess to be anything you like. But it is not really accurate to say the way we manage ours isn't vote chess.
Like I said above. We do have split votes regularly. So people are voting what they want.
But I would say we do vote more alike than most groups. This is apparent from my own experience and the comments our opponents have made during vote chess games.

I think you misunderstood me. I want to discuss moves. However, I want people I play with to commit to a move first. We would vote on a move, then discuss the results. 10 people vote for example and 5 choose the same move, 2 people choose a second move, and 3 people choose a third move. Then they go over their decisions after the actual move is made. You can then see who thought of the same move you did. Maybe they had a different idea than you but you both voted for the same move.
I like this idea.I might propose this idea for our next vote chess game.

My group, Intellectual Chess Players, is still developing in vote chess, but we have come a long way and so far, we are doing well. We are occupied with a lot of games currently, but we could probably fit in a game against your group. What is your group called?

All our Vote Chess games have a dedicated Captain and voting is by consensus. We have never timed-out. All our players are 1500+ rated, and on average 1800+ rated. But in principle, we only play thematic matches where our side of the opening is dubious, unsound or even refuted. Still, our stats don't give the impression of being "refuted".

You can see your opponents comments? hmm, we have a very different idea on vote chess then.
You can see your opponent's comments after the game has ended.

You can see your opponent's comments after the game has ended.
You can just use Skype or another messenger then.
I don't understand what you are saying here. Every vote chess game has a place to discuss moves before or after they are made. You don't need Skype or a messenger system.

Here is how we analyse every game after it's over, taking into account our own reasoning, our opponents comments, and several engines. Annotations in this game by mattchess:

That is fine for sparring games, but the actual game that is being voted on should have private rooms for the teams to discuss the moves. I wouldn't want my comments regarding the actual game read by the opposing team.
These are private. They only become public after the game has finished.
I know you are not much for playing chess online. But if you are interested in knowing the mechanics of running a vote chess game, you are welcome to join my group and see first hand how the Chess.com vote chess system works.

Some of these systems being proposed here would work better if chess.com had a feature that would let you know "to vote" in your vote match game everytime you log on. As it is now if you go to an indicated vote chess game because it's your move, whether you make a move or not the next time you log in there will be no indication that you still have to move if you hadn't before. I've missed some moves because by the time i have gotten other notifications out of the way it slips my mind to look up a specific votechess game that i've visited before but left unvoted to think about it for a while.
Our group is looking for other groups that are serious about Vote Chess.
By serious, I mean a team that communicates and has enough participants to not time out.
