Looks like the fair play team agrees with the bot in hyperbullet :(

In a club that specializes hyperbullet, we recently started doing 1 second arenas. Many people reported a warning, and 1 contacted support. In return, this is what they said

Hello!

Thanks for writing in!

I am so sorry about any confusion! I looked into the situation and found that your account was closed by our Fair Play team because of "sandbagging" or the deliberate losing of games.

What is a Sandbagger?

Players sometimes do this in order to win tournaments on a low-rated level. Were you aware of this rule? Please review our community policies: https://www.chess.com/community

I've reached out to the Fair Play team on your behalf and was told that if you write back and promise not to do this again, I'd be able to grant you the second-chance account. Please note that we do not grant third chances and hope for your understanding. Our interest here is not to keep you off the site, but just to make sure that everyone on the site is playing fairly.

Again, please reply to this email and let us know that you were losing the games deliberately and that you won't do so in the future. From there, we'll get you set up with your second-chance account. You can use the same username and the same email address if you would like to do that. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards,

rishabh11great

1 second is not hyper bullet, ITS TRASH AND TROLL IN CHESS

It's still unfair though. If you aren't sandbagging, you shouldn't be labeled a sandbagger.

UWillResignYesUWill

1 second chess has a maximum of 10 moves right?

mercatorproject

The lad is just inferior at 1 second Chess.

If you need to win 1 second games, maybe you are a sandbagger.

Nobody is intentionally losing games here. Therefore nobody is sandbagging.

wk_18

wait but who lost their account? and you can't really sandbag in less than 10sec chess :/

Does anyone else see the irony here?

"You can use the same username and the same email address if you would like to do that."

What is the difference. If you are doing 1 second games, you are essentially already playing as if you are a new account, over and over again.

What is happening is worse than sandbagging. And I get criticized for spending too much time on opening theory.

The irony is delightful. The Support Team has a sense of humour.

Play this form and endgames become passe. Openings have to be quick.

People do sandbagging to lose ratting points... 1sec games are unrated LMAO

NobleElevator

Oh dear :/

NobleElevator

Honestly people play 1sec chess for fun, rather than chess skill/knowledge. There are tons of players who can use all 10 possible moves and it’s just a fun thing to do

MegaCharizardLeo

why is 1 sec. allowed, nothing below 30 sec. should be in my opinion

The real question is why are you playing 1 second games, it lasts like two seconds

1 second = 2 seconds ?

because 1+1=2 yes

UWillResignYesUWill

yeah ik i was joking but the way you phrased that

this is just a message they send to everyone who were suspected of broken the rules. some other member once broke an other rule and posted the message he received from chess.com in the forums and it literally is the same thing: admit you were wrong (even if you aren't wrong) otherwise you won't get your account back.

using just simple logic, everyone can see that playing unrated games is no sandbagging (yeah some people have a weird definition of fun since chess with max 10 moves is not my thing either but that's absolutely not ban-worthy!!)

if someone get's banned for a, in my opinion, false reason, they should at least really look at the situation instead of just blindly following the bot and vote you guilty anyways.
