I just lost around 350 elo in 5/0 blitz over the weekend. I have no idea what happened as I was playing reasonably solidly for several weeks.I suddenly couldn't do anything right: mouse slips galore, fumbling in time scrambles and running out of time with mate in one, failing to see easy tactics, moving pieces where they could be taken for free, trying to castle my rook and queen. My play degenerated into clown show status, I devolved as a chess player. I'm only beginning now to play better, like someone who just got out of a cast, one shaky step at a time.

When your game becomes so bad you devolve at the keyboard in real-time.

Yeah, there are times your brain is not ready for chess, but feels fine. Those are the times blunders become pleantiful. Been there for the Elo rollercoster rides.

Poor bro

Well Bullet is certainly never predictable. It is more like a game of skill, where the one with the faster fingers wins it all, atleast in Hyperbullet

A year ago I got 900 elo in blitz. The next day lost so many games and dropped all the way to 692 elo.

Chess is a tough game.
