Loves comebacks
Hey guys i was wondering if anyone else lets themselves get what seems like hopplessly behind just so i can come back with a awesome check mate. i know it is hindering my progress. however i kinda feel like i have my own style of play. i like the oppent to have huge piece advantages that way i acually have to think about how im going to come back and not just use some strategy thats already made. love playing in games where it seems like i stand no chance, over a game where its very defensve and boring. you can call me a bad player, however i just like to have to think and not just have easy moves. This is one of my games...Enjoy!
yes, you were down a lot of material and pulled this one out. No matter how much ahead your opponent is, he/she MUST consider what you can do to hurt them. Afterall you are still playing and did not roll over dead.
That said, you could have saved yourself from your Houdini act by playing 17 B-g4 winning his Queen for a Bishop !
On move 16 you played your Bishop to h5 check and Black moved King to d7. Then on move 17 if you play Bishop to g4 it pins Black's Queen on f5 against the King.
Simply go to your original game diagram and click on move number 16 to see that position.
In this game i was black.white had 15 point advantage untill i took their stuff and made them resign
Im black in this game
No you was not playing the black side in this game. You was playing the white side of the game. It was a 30-0 time control game and black had a large advantage. However, you could of won his queen earlier.
Thomas can be a dangerous opponent as he does not roll over dead when we think he is lost / busted. Just like an opposum playing dead, he can spring to life and put the hurt on you, when you least expect it.
He may not consistently battle back from a Queen down to thrash any of us, but the possibility, as he demonstrated with this game and others is there.
If you play Thomas, don't let it happen to you !
