You serious you think no one on this site can beat him you gotta be kidding me

There are hardly any people in the world who can beat him.  He just lose to Vladmir Kramnik yesterday, but Kramnik was world champion.  Any person is beatable but it would be very very difficult!

Its a bit ridiculous to think that some noname internet player could beat the third best player in the world. If they are to stand any chance at all they would need to be at least a titled player, and even at that a win is asking a lot. 

Anyone is beatable...

There are people on this site who are better than grandmasters. Surely they can beat Carlsen in an online match.

There are a few people on this site better than some Grandmasters; they are grandmasters themselves. They are not GMs of Carlsen's quality. Is it possible? Sure. Is it likely? Well, if you had every single person on the site play Carlsen 1 white and 1 black OTB on level terms... I'd give about a 1% chance that he'd lose at least one game.

I'm sorry, but this thread is nutty.

To play at a level equal to Carlsen you have got to be in the top 10 players in the world , or maybe even the top 5. While we have some very strong players here i'm sorry but i do not think we have anyone of that caliber.

Theophilus A. Thompson (NOLAUPT's wonderful avatar) himself didn't learn chess until he was almost Carlsen's current age (Thompson was 18) and within 14 month's of learning the game, that former slave published a book of chess problems (with the enigmatic title: Chess Problems by Theophilus A. Thompson).  Now that's not nutty at all.

You want names just look at the top players and title player games and you will see that he can lose to lot of people on this site. I think i will beat him in a seven game series

Oh, I get it now. I just got it. You're talking about somebody physically beating him. Yeah, there's probably lots of people on the site who could do that. They really shouldn't though, that's really mean and harmful to his health, not to mention utterly immoral.

I assume that's what you're talking about, because if you mean defeating him in a chess game (let alone a match) that's just crazy talk.

You're thinking of Magnet Carlsen. Yeah he's terrible.
