Yes and when asked about his slam desk reaction by the press magnus responded with a shoulder shrub stated i am still happy I won the tournament! Press asked him his thoughts on the new breed of players coming through and said yes it's good for the future of chess but they need some improving and this will take time, further stating he sees nobody at present a threat to his position as No1

Cool? I felt straight-up angry at this insult immediately when I saw it. It was an utter disrespect of the game, as well as the opponent, whom he already had been taking digs over the past few days.

Yeah, No. 1 in ingratitude and disrespect. Big deal

My opinion on Gukesh's playing style is at present he is experimenting too much with less known in practice lines especially in his openings, I can see his thoughts but the lines are not proving good enough against the elite bunch, so I agree with magnus that Gukesh and the other new breed of players coming through need time!? Gukesm Caruana or Hikaru he would struggle as currently they are still better than the current new breed coming through?

I still think that he gave it to Gukesh at the very end and it was all an act. He must have seen that if he checked with the knight the other way, it did work. I can't believe he wouldn't spot that if I even did, and I think he just wanted to make a 'hats-off' statement to Gukesh, reinforcing him as the rightful world champ. And that is a classy thing to do.

You're saying he threw the game?

That has to be one of the dumbest theories I have ever heard of about a chess game and is just ridiculous.

No he didn't throw the game, he was visibly upset and talked about it afterwards.

Well, I didn't blame you for anything. I was angry at Magnus for his stupid behaviour and overinflated ego.

Come on, MC is a human, not a bot, he's as capable of making mistakes as anyone else. But his behaviour is too disgusting. As for FIDE, fining him won't do anything. He has so much money that his net worth is worth more than the GDP of Bangladesh. No, I suggest FIDE should ban him as was the case for Yoo, or demote him to IM title. Thats the suitable measure to be taken against him.
