Mercy Rule

I've really become addicted to bullet style chess lately, partly because its so much easier to recover from a loss (or a win). A lot of my games I lose on time with + material, makes me wish there was a +7 rule like in softball, so Uncle Jimmy doesn't tear a ligament rounding third at the family bbq.

I'm the total opposite, blitz games are too fast, unless I play a 30 minute game. You can set the time for your games for 10 days at least

@Keishaeboni with a 30 min game I'd be withdrawing a lot of games from phone calls and work and attention span...with the short games its just oh well ✌ peace out but that 1min is tough to find a mix of good moves and time to do em

There should never be a mercy—that undermines the very purpose of the time limit. The time limit is there for a reason. By playing slowly, you can calculate more, and thus get ahead. You’re ahead because you used up all your time making better moves!

Wow. I was told I was right—that’s a first. Usually one gets bogged down in a protracted back and forth! I congratulate you on your willingness to have your mind changed. It’s an excellent quality to have. 🥰
