Monthly Arena Blitz tournament with Diamond membership reward?

For 2021 has chess.com stopped running monthly arena blitz tournaments where diamond is awarded?

For example this one was in December:

https://www.chess.com/tournament/live/arena/saturday-blitz-marathon--to-top-three-178335

But I can't find one for January of this year.

I mean, it was a bit of a farce that for 12 solid months the users who won diamond membership all happened to open their accounts Feb 5th and/or Feb 9th, but stopping it for that reason is odd. I just assumed noticing such a pattern was beyond chess.com even after I'd reported it to staff and also brought it to the attention of mods.

(these users also resigned many games to each other...)

I asked about this and the staff member that had set those up only scheduled them through the end of 2020. He mentioned he'll set up something new but likely won't end up having prizes.

Hmm I never won anyways... plus I don’t play blitz lol but sounds fun

I won one, and was thinking of playing again in Dec, but I was annoyed that these guys were resigning games to each other consistently after something like 11 or 17 moves. Like they'd have 10 games during the tournament where they did it, and they obviously had multiple accounts because they were all opened on the same 2 days.

(not multiple accounts in the same tournament, but from one tourney to the next)

And they tried other stuff, like sandbagging which got them banned, so then one of them tried playing in two tournament at once, winning games in one, while resigning games in the other to keep his rating low.

Just annoying people like that. But when a diamond membership isn't awarded annoying people like this will disappear.

Deranged

How long would it take to scan through the games of the top 10 players to make sure no cheating, sandbagging or poor sportsmanship occured?

If you spend 20 mins per player that's only 3-4 hours of work.

I'd be willing to put in the work myself as a volunteer, just to keep these tournaments running.

Here's one of the most comical ones. Top 7 were banned grin.png

So they do check.

Apparently manipulating the results in the way I complained about is not cheating, because I reported it and even opened a ticket and nothing was done. This was over a month ago. So that's why I should be able to "accuse" them in public, because apparently it's fine.

But in that link, check out the top 2... opened Feb 5th and Feb 9th yet again.

And did they resign games to each other?

Ok, seems they only met 3 times in this particular tournament, but yes, short games as expected.
