Morphy's opera game is excellent for beginners to teach about development.

Also Morphy v Cochrane is a good follow up game to teach ideas such as sacrifices, while still keeping to the development theme.

Well, thank you Hole.

Sometimes A plays B a plurality of times in one city, and it can be difficult to locate a particular game of interest insofar as the parties are concerned. Dude. Not having the year can make matters worse.

It's not like I'm asking him to prepare a Power Point presentation or anything.

Actually, now that I think about it, that would be extremely useful. One Power Point in reverse chronological order, and the other organized by opening. Hole will help.

Go buy Chernev's - Most Instructive Games of Chess Ever Played.  There's 62 games in there.

Capablanca - Tartakower is my favorite from that book.  Really made an impression on me.
