mouseslips

Hello! This is a problem that is becoming very very annoying. Any ways to prevent slips? Could chess.com consider adding a takeback button? Thanks

Click on the piece you want to move and then click on the square u want it to move to.

Dont drag the piece to the square u want it to be.

any other tips? i wont use premoves in openings and only when 20 secs come i will use premoves

Change your mouse and get a mousepad 

my mouse is good... mousepad hmmm i will consider getting one

@amit what about the ones who use touchpad? 

There is a new wirelses mouse that has come. I use that and its good but somehow these slips occur

Move rooks along diagonals and bishops along files/ranks, at least you'll fix part of the problem.

Caruana had a mouseslip in his game against Topalov. It wasn't really, but it reminded me of one:

@zBorris This is the recent game of Topalov and Caruana from Candidates Moscow. Caruana wont slip i think . Well O-O is met by Bd3 (looks deadly) . So what is played was only move possible.

Agreed. 0-0 was suicide. Kf8 was brilliant play by Caruana.

Mouseslips ruin my day.

Regarding the actual topic, mouse slips are part of the game. You can minimize the chances of a slip, but sooner or later everyone who plays live chess online will either slip or time out from being too worried about slipping.

In rated chess, there is a take back button. It looks exactly like the resign button.

i mean for live chess....

If you play blitz or bullet and use the confirm button, you are playing at a serious time handicap that will cost far more in games lost than the feared occasional mouse slip.
