Hey guys.

Nico here, dev behind Moveless Chess (iOS/Android) a free game in which you have to study certain board states and checkmate the black king... without moving your pieces.

How then? By transforming your pieces into new ones. Every transformation costs Action Points (APs, based on chess piece relative value system) and every level has a limited amount of APs. Use them wisely.

Let me know what you think!

Look insteresting and probably fun, but there are two more interesting questions.

What language did you use to code it?

Who designed the puzzles?

Game is made with Unity (c#). Chess AI is taken from this asset (https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/?mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRousq#!/content/59341) and some section remade by me (turn structure, piece selection, transformation, etc.)

Puzzles are all designed by me (some are based on famous matches, others are based on checkmate themes I like...)

Here are 50 levels in a gif form (initial release has 64 levels)

Thanks for the info, I thought you coded it all yourself but now that I think it it would be stupid to reinvent the Wheel!

Will probably download it on my S5.

Just one thing, the GIF doesnt work (perhaps the page doesnt support it?)

I'll see if I can find it on the App Store. Neat idea, and I dig the SNES vibe!

I played it, but I find the pieces can take a min to get identified in my mind. The King and Queen bear too much likeness. Also, the constant incorporating of watching videos, I'd rather pay a set price to unlock the game. I looked into doing that, but it's .99 per puzzle, which is too steep! The heavy ad nature of it is a turn off but I really like your concept!

Cool game, when was it released?
