Just wanted to rant a little about players who never say "good game" or "thanks for playing" or just a plain hello, or have a good one.  I don't know, there is something a little unsportsmanlike to just close a window in someone's face without a second's hesitation.  I find internet chess is notorious for that... I hoped chess.com would be a little different, and it is a lot more friendly than most sites, but it still happens a lot.  How about not letting it become that way ?

Cheers, have a good one

lol, let me tell you something that you will "probably" learn anyway sooner or later.. its better to say nothing, than write a plain "good game" just as an habbit, meaning nothing. People who always write "gg" or "vgg" or "vng" all the time are empty. This is internet, man, lol, wake up :) If you want to chat download mirc :)

And this guy want to mute people. Haha. In my book, people like you should be muted :-)

I always try to tell a joke at the most inopportune moment - just for distraction. Even a carefully timed "Hi!" around move 35 can be quite effective.

thats a good idea... i may try that lol

Sit down, relax, try to write that correctly, then we "could" discuss it. LOL

 sometimes its good to talk

Avatar of laporte
if you consider "gg" talking ;)

I guess I'll start saying Hello. I don't get the trophy thing. Do they mean anything to anyone? I guess they must.
Avatar of laporte
I mean my point is : talking is supposed to be positive, fun. saying "gg" to somebody is free, its not a rule, its supposed to make you feel good to hear it, not make you feel bad when you dont, lol. Who cares anyway, most of people get this, people who dont, well stay sad, its your choice :) But hey, if you want to mute people who dont say "gg" to you, then you are really funny :)

I know they are cool, but there is a difference between somebody who like that people say "gg" to them, and people who get all mad when people dont, imagining they hate them or something :)

americans.. lol

no wonder.. ah well.. I stop this right here, as obviously its not all people who are able to think. Thats ok. Ciao, kids :)

This is an internet as you said, so you could be a girl, aren't you? (here you can criticize my english;))

You come dangerously close to being a prime example of that...

It doesn't cost anything to reply to a simple 'hello'.  If you can't do that, I can only assume you were raised in a barn...
