Do you work on puzzles to get a mysterious number or chess experience? The latter has not changed
My Puzzles Rating Dropped
Same here!
My puzzle rating last time I played a puzzle (1 October 2025) was 2774 or 3174 and now it has droped to 1617.
I don't remember my highest puzzle rating score, but my puzzle score was 4032 (2025-08-14) and now
my highest problem rating/score has droped to 1729.
I hope they solve this bug soon.

Mine dropped from 2700 to 1900 🥲 (3 right puzzles everyday is what it took to get there) All vanished!!

One thing I noticed: The hardcore puzzle solvers were the most affected. I think it's extremely unfair for somebody with over 10000 puzzles solved and a success rate over 70% to have a lower rating than somebody with 1000 puzzles solved and a success rate of just over 50%. And don't tell me that is because of the difficulty, that feature was added less than 24 hours ago.
I found this: https://www.chess.com/news/view/announcing-new-puzzles-rating-systemChess.com has announcing a new puzzle rating system. I thought it was a bug, but it is intentional.

Yes. It is intentional.

Yesterday in my another account my puzzle rating was 1857 and today it automatically changed into 1442

Most users would accept the rules and changes if someone emailed them about these changes. The problem is that everyone is shocked because no one thought about us.
It's not about the rating and points, but the lack of information before the change.
And someone might write nonsense that I'm nitpicking because I have 500 elo. I have that because I started playing chess in February, at the age of 50... I've played maybe 100 games so far and have gotten to 500 elo from 100 elo.
I'm constantly learning and solving puzzles. I'm increasingly playing at a level of 800-1300... but that doesn't matter anyway. What matters is that I pay to use chess.com, which doesn't believe that its hundreds of millions of users should be informed about significant changes.
I've been solving puzzles on Lichess since yesterday, and so far, no one has changed anything... and I haven't even had to pay a fortune for unlimited access to the puzzles. Seriously! This approach to users will definitely not help chess.com
My rating dropped too, I assume they are scoring differently to better reflect your actual chess rating. I'm fine with that. I'm a little frustrated, though, that when I set my difficulty it keeps changing back to "standard". I hope chess.com is working on that...

"The big drop in puzzle ratings is because Chess.com launched a completely new puzzle rating system on October 8. The old system gave out lots of extra points, so ratings were much higher than your real tactical skill - everyone’s numbers were inflated. Now, the ratings are calculated like game ratings (such as blitz and rapid), so they dropped to more realistic levels. Nobody became worse overnight - this just means the new numbers better match your true puzzle -solving ability, not an error or personal mistake. The new system is more fair and makes ratings comparable for everyone." That's overall explaintion why how to work in rating puzzles systems, I hope to donate and supporting with me.

I think this was a really smart decision by chess.com. The old system was quite broken and in no way could be compared to other chess.com ratings. Now they're mostly aligned and the rating increase/decrease is more in line with our actual performances.
Not sure why some of you care about an arbitrary number which dropped in sync for (amost?) everybody.

it's not about the point.. it's about no info about this

Do you think he/she has asked chess.com permission for the other account ? If not then it is not allowed. AI says "Yes, you can have more than one account on Chess.com, but only if you get prior approval from their support team. Creating a second account without approval is considered cheating and violates their fair play policies, so you must contact Chess.com to request permission first"
Yesterday, my puzzle rating was 2564, but now it has dropped to 1636. It doesn’t seem right after working so hard and solving puzzles daily.
