Niven42 - I have the Boilers losing only to OSU in the championship game - like the Rick Mount team that lost to Lou Alcindor's UCLA (i.e. before he bcame Kareem Abduhl Jabbar) Hope springs eternal for this Boiler. ( We're due - no Final Four since Joe Barry Carroll in 1980.) Sure wish we had Hummel.

Hmm... 3 of my final four are big east teams... bracket really shakes out well for them (of course with 11 teams, it helps.

My homer pick is Tennessee over Duke in round two. It could happen. And I gotta take Belmont over Wisconsin in rd. one for homer reasons too.
Preseason Tennessee looked good, but they've been up and down. Anyone beats Duke and I like it. Coach K gets all the blue chippers year after year. I have them surviving to play Ohio State in the Final Four ... with Ohio State doing Duke in on the Big Stage. ( I can almost hear Dick Vitale crying as Duke loses.)

The only thing I ever want to hear from Dick Vitale is him gurgling on his own blood.
As for Tennessee... I've followed em all year. The basic story... good talent, but very immature. When they show up with their heads on straight, they can lock anyone's offense down and beat them (see Pitt, Villanova). When they aren't feeling it, they can lose to anyone (C. of Charleston).
I gotta figure they will be properly motivated, it being the tourney and all. And guys like Scottie Hopson will be looking to land an NBA check.
Who knows. The same is true of Vandy. Extremely talented, extremely inconsistent. Hopefully one of em can make a run. It would be nice if Memphis and or Belmont can do the state proud and pull off an upset.
My final four: Kansas, Kansas State, Ohio State, and San Diego State.
