Need a new forum category...

Hi all,

I sometimes feel chess.com is geared toward high rated players. There are a lot of us low-rated on here, and I've never had trouble getting a game in my bracket, but I do feel sometimes the forum discussions and ESPECIALLY broadcasts are too advanced to help some of us who are trying to learn and figure things out. I know people go out of their way to help others in the forums, and I've gotten a lot of help in here myself, but there isn't one place to go for that kind of advice...

I would love to see a forum category for low-rated players looking for help. Sometimes this fits under "game analysis" but that is often specific to a particular game and can end up being about one particular idea in one particular position - and there are high rated games in there too. Sometimes a question fits under "general chess discussion" but that category is a huge catch all and stuff flies by in there.  "Scholastic chess" is about chess in schools, and "Chess mentor" seems to be about coaches.

Could we have a forum category (call it "beginners needing help", or something) dedicated to  A - lower rated players seeking advice from better players who specifically want to help others learn, and where, B - even intermediate players could share what's helped them improve with  players with similar or less experience.

Many thanks

Ah, a suggestion.

Perhaps you want to edit your post so that it is in the Site Feedback and Suggestions forum?

/ It really doesn't matter much if they added more categories. People pay no attention to them.

Good idea, how do I edit it to do that? Can I just move the thread?

Oh, never mind, I found it. Thank you Notmtwain!

I like your idea. Posting it here isn't as effective as:

Thanks batgirl, that's awesome. Will do!
