Take a look through the chess.com articles. There was one a while back about tournament openings and which ones a player should know based on their level. I couldn't hurt to have at least a simple understanding of a broader range of openings.
As for books, I enjoy a few older books that really helped advance my chess:
New Ideas In Chess, by Larry Evans
Logical Chess Move By Move, by Irving Chernev
i get around five hrs of free time,i want all to suggest a detail study plan,curently i spend 2 hrs on solving tactics and playing games rest of time. also what books i should read(i have access to a chess club library)
