Needing Help!

Ok so there's a championship in my school in chess and I'm entering the Final Five in the school, our Top 1 in school is something I cannot beat. I always defend from her Bishop or Queen, but it forces me to play a crappy opening just to defend myself from Aggresive Attacks like bringing out queen in the first 6 moves. But when I get really defensive, he gets his knight out, and starts pawn hunting, I mean, how does she even pawn hunt only a few pieces are developed? I need help to beat her, I don't know any openings, but you can give me one in this situation.

If you have White try 1. d4 d5  2. Nf3 Nf6 3. Bf4  and that should give you a solid position as White.

     If Black try 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 g6 6. Bc4 Bg7 , the Sicilian Dragon setup.

If you win give me the credit, if you lose I deny all responsibility.  Good luck!

See if your school library has any chessbooks.

it would help if you were to include a game... but If I had to guess, I would say you were suffering from the well known (and not particularly good) opening where white prematurely plays his queen.

regarding pawn hunting. if the game I saw is any indication. you move your pawns FAR too much.  moving out pawns allows the opponent to invade your position and find weak pawns.

Instead Develop peices.  put peices in places where they guard spaces.  this prevents him from hopping his knight all over the place.

this is NOT a just a problem with the opening.  at your level I wouldn't obsessively study the opening.  you can play a simple opening WITHOUT a lot of study.

TACTICS are also REALLY important.  forks, pins, skewers etc these are the moves that will Win the game.

it seems like your opponent isn't playing to any standard opening lines.. so it might be hard to play one yourself, right? because they all depend on what your opponent plays. I'd advise that you forget about the question of "what opening do I play?" and just focus on opening principles.

Develop your pieces, control the centre, don't hang your pieces or pawns.

Don't get dragged in to an exercise of chasing your opponents queen around during the opening. Just develop with a focus on getting your pieces active. certainly develop your pieces in ways that attack the queen (if it's out in the open), but focus on development and prophylaxis.

Once your fully developed, your opponent (who has wasted developing opportunities with queen moves, will be at a huge disadvantage.

     1. Put 2 or 3 pawns in the center - most players start with the e or d pawns;  2. Develop your pieces; 3. Get castled.

Stay alert, don't give up and Good Luck!

Study the end game. opening arn't that important if you know the basics.
