I got this idea from nervesofbutter when he posted the meme first. I just made it in a gif.

I thought the Brittney guy was funny.

In contrast, Hans looks mature. He stayed to finish all games. I can’t imagine how he can bear to play  under this horrific condition. But he did 👍

Looks mature?  If you are 13 years old, sure, he looks mature, I suppose.

Maturity now a days is not what it used to be.  I think in that regard we have taken a step backwards.

Apparently watching people "rage" is a thing.

Apparently you've been living on another planet and didn't realize humans like drama.

I was just pointing out that the maturity comments are...misplaced.

I dont think so.  If you read the posts on this it has divided people as most things do.

Carlsen fans swear he is right.

Niemann fans think he is wrong.

Some swear that cheating went on even with no proof.

Some swear no cheating went on even with no proof.

Like most things.  Just a lot of emotional reacting.

I meant the comments about Hans acting maturely and Magnus throwing a hissy fit.  No, and no.  Magnus should not have posted the video along with his tweet.  That is not throwing a hissy fit, though.  Niemann should not be calling everybody idiots, etc.  His responses and general demeanor do not come across as "mature".  He comes across as a teenager mad at the world for not giving him his just due, when he has no "due" yet...which is why he's popular.

Just like Hunger Games and Divergent and dozens of other media properties that seek to take advantage of teen's sensitivity to being treating as adults by hyping the notion of teens that somehow show all the adults what's what in the world wink.png.  It sells.

Before people started cynically making money off of this, you were more likely to see it in the stereotypical college student that decides they now know exactly how the world should be run and what everybody is doing wrong.

They have both acted less than mature.  Hans even more so.

When Hans was younger i would see him at tournaments.  He would go around and tell people he would teach them openings for $20/Hour.  He never asked, he would just walk up to people and interrupt.

He's an interesting psychological case. I noticed he mentioned his mother in that interview regarding his bans and how he dissuaded her from continuing to bid on an auction to face Magnus (I'm paraphrasing). Was his father absent/distant growing up?

He's an unusually confident speaker for his age which possibly gives the illusion of maturity. But his immaturity and lack of self-awareness is quite apparent in other videos shared above. At my age, watching people like that "stream" holds no appeal at all.

Poor guy getting negative attention.

He sacrificed 2 years living a chess “hermit” as he describes himself, to improve.

I am shocked that he has good days and off days.

I wasn’t shocked either that he beat Magnus; both are human with good days and bad days. It’s also no secret that GM play the Catalan prepping and looking for transpositions is not a shocker.

I have heard rumors there is an alleged plot where Hans may have involved a shocker after some prepping.

It is not clear what you mean. Could you elaborate?

Sex toy pun.

Hello everybody, I don't know if this is the right place to post about this, excuse me if this is not the right place.

So I was just playing s chest game and I had a checkmate on the other guy with a pawn, he had another pawn next cell and somehow his pawn killed me... He did the diagonal move but my pawn was in the same row, not next row. I don't know if this is a bug or can pawns kill in parallel when checkmate?

Here are the screenshots

Checkmate move

Pawn kill pawn next cell

If someone could please explain me wth just happened.. thx! Carlos

I'm wondering how Magnus knew that thing was up there in the first place.  Did he take a peek or something?   Perhaps he planted it in order to frame Hans.

Magnus must have put it on Hans' chair before Hans sat down.
