...f5!? 4.d3 e5!?
could be one, and if Be3 then Nf6 makes sense since Bg5 is kinda idiotique now
It doesnt look to me like black has enough compensation for the pawn. But maybe I'm wrong.
I also like f5, but white can play Nf4, which kinda threatens Qh5+ and perhaps open some discovered attacks to the king. That can be met with Nf6, but still.... I don't see WHY it scares the hell out of masters who played this position and NEVER chose to eat on d5.
I mean, when in 300+ master games not even ONE had the idea of Nxd5, then I think there's something really, really wrong....
I think it never happened before on my games but once - how do you guys deal with
1. e4 d5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. Nxd5?
There are hundreds of games up to position 2. ... d5, but then there's absolutely NO move on Chess Explorer of either exd5 or Nxd5, which leaves me thinking that it is a SERIOUSLY BAD move. But I can't see any way to exploit, can you?
