"...Where did I say anything about FIDE ?

I also said NOT USCF, so post #4 is totally useless."

John, whoever said I was answering your question? I posted so that other people may know about the USCF NM title. Its called background material.

I don't know how someone expects to get a recognized NM title in the US, except through the USCF and hard work.

I am assuming that you are from the US, as  your flag is of the US.

And why do you get so angy?? lol!

After asking about something that he apparently already knows about, then gets mad when people try to help, he personally goes after people.

Wow.

I may have the answer to your question, as i know the practises followed  in a few countries.

Which country do you belong or your friend belongs (be specific) who wants to hold the NM title ?

Thank you.  I am particularly interested in requirements for National Master in the following countries:

Barbados

The Bahamas

Martinique

St. Kitts and Nevis

Antigua

Monserrat

Colombia

Belize

El Salvador

Brasil

Ecuador

Cote d'Ivoire

Liberia

Zimbabwe

Lesotho

Mozambique

Thank you.

Your question makes no sense, which is why we are confused.

What other federation are you asking about?

Any federation that is not USCF.

Chess players have major problems with abstract thinking.

Just a guess--but you had major problems with charm school didn't you?

Pretty much!  Unless I make a conscious effort to appear normal for just long enough to get what I want . . .

Of course there is no such need such pretenses here.

I think Johnny Depp is German.

Johnny Depp (and I actually knew him personally back in the 80's) is a direct descendant of an anonymous Iroquois chieftan's wife and a Royal French cavlary colonel stationed in western New York during the Seven Years War (1756-63).

That is why he has a certain "Asian/Indian" look to his eyes when he turns a certain way.

Hmm,

Maybe I could be picky and say that NM titles do not exist in some of these countries. Or that some of the titles would have to be in Spanish or other languages, and would, in any case, would not be abbreviated as NM.

But I'll be nice and not say anything ;)

The Spanish title is abbreviated as MN.  And yes, do you know for a fact that the titles don't exist in some of those countries?  If so, provide your evidence.

If not, shut the hell up you schmuck.

Please contact the leader of said federations. Can I out-troll the troll?

You want to buy an NM title or something? Who cares anyway? I could probably have been one if I started playing as a child, maybe you could too?

Pretty much.  It's like buying a Baronetcy but without the benefits or prestige, eh, but why not...

john, do you really enjoy throwing a temper tantrum? Or are you just naturally stupid and rude?

National Master titles, as I mentioned before, are not available in all nations.

I am posting four nations, two on your list, so you can better comprehend the relative rarity of national master titles.

Here they are!

“Since the introduction of the FIDE Master (FM) title in 1978, some federations such as those of Ireland and Germany have ceased awarding National Master titles, apparently regarding them as obsolete.”

“Up until 1991, the Irish Chess Federation awarded the title of Irish National Master to 15 players. The title has since fallen into disuse.”

Liberia does not have a current national organization. So it is impossible to gain a national title

“Wesley became the first player to be crowned as chess champion at the end of a well-attended chess tournament since the cessation of the Liberia Chess Federation in the early 2000s.” [http://www.liberianobserver.com/sports/liberia-gets-new-chess-champion-0]

Belize has not hosted any national tournaments since about 2012. So it is impossible to gain a national title. [http://chessinbelize.blogspot.com/, et. al]

Now try to be civil, OK?

I wrote those very words myself, you idiot.  And guess what?  I didn't have a source or anything, it was all just off the cuff rambling.  That's what Wikipedia is good for, regarding most articles that don't have many people watching them.

I'm sorry you are being a jerk about all this john.

I've asked you to be nice and you tell me shut up.

I've asked you to be civil and you call me an idiot.

Johm, do yourself a favor and see a therapist.

So you went on Wikipedia and posted a bunch of bull, then you come here asking us for information, expecting us to help you, when you're calling us idiots for having believed you.

No thanks.

It's not bull if it's on Wikipedia.

Hi Johnmusacha,

From now on, you have earned a title for yourself which is called MC, which will stay with you for life and will be unique.

For abbreviation, you will need to know an asian language(hindi). Its a very very personified word specially for you. So dear all friends, he's not john anymore, he's MC

The chess world shall derive pleasure by calling you thus wherever we see you, because only an MC could have done this.  All hindi knowing will understand the abbreviation.

If anyone wishes to know about its meaning, he can personally contact me.
