Not enough benefits for World Chess Champion?

Benefits like:

Guard of honor (in every tournament)

It will mean something to be a World Chess Champion and it will create more desire among other chess players to become champion.

Can you think of any other benefits?

I don't think anyone would care about a guard of honour. They would care about prize money and lucrative sponsorship deals above all, and maybe the prestige of being associated with the greats of the past.

They are not going to have enough benefits until the chess world championship is decided by blitz games only, and online.  It might sound stupid, but that is the truth, most chess fans do not care about OTB long time control games anymore, this is a new era.

Why not? There are important things in life in addition to money, Honor, Respect, etc.

This is not the post to talk about HOW world chess champion is decided, but it is more about WHAT benefits does a world chess champion should get

Perhaps rename one of the moons of Jupiter or Saturn 'Chess' and name the craters after the past and present world champions.

This might be one of the shortest topics ever. You covered it all.

Covered it all? Not really.

Chess is a unique game, and we must add more subtle benefits like treating world champion as king. IMO it will create more excitement and in general will attract more people.

You pay for it, and I'm sure they would consider adding it.

Why haven't you done that yet? My guess is you haven't because, as Jupiter said, everything they care about has already been done. If you feel more should be done, do it.
