Odd occurrences I have noticed, anyone else?

So I read a statement the other day which one stated they didn't even like playing chess anymore; which I must admit my first thought was yeah I understand. The only difference is that I absolutely love playing chess, the problem (I think we all agree) is with the issues which occur with online chess. Let me state for the record I love the chess.com application THE programmers and developers are marvelous, which brings us to our first issue. The pausing-stalling of games; all of us are able to differentiate between the network going out and when one is over riding the program. The obvious occurrence states that your network is out and you don't get penalized. Where as when one over rides you get accused of abandoning the game, gain an automatic loss and your score drops. This is my most infuriating experience, I have discovered when this happens to report the occurrence immediately and the tech team will handle it appropriately, even if a person is not to blame. They can detect if there is something else going on handle the situation.

I then read a comment posted where one said why when your opponent is in a losing position do they viciously attack? I personally don't have an issue with this strategy, what I have an issue with is when the opponent resigns due to losing. I always finish a game no matter the circumstances. What upsets me even more is when a game has just begun and the opponent quits because you blocked their trademark move. This is the whole concept of the game. I say yeah ok, my score goes up just because the opponent didn't get their way. So not that terrible but extremely annoying.

Our next topic of yeah I noticed that does anyone else? This next one I am not sure of which is why I am discussing it. When you are notified that the opponent has disconnected and the game will automatically continue. Here again is another spot where it seems one is over riding the program, again one is able to discern between the legitimate application process and when one is actively screwing with it. My advice always is to always wait for the time to run down. If the person did disconnect then you win due to the opponent abandoning. However, as I have discovered, if you try to resign due to thinking the other person has, then you get accused of abandoning the game and get penalized.
