That is a strange game, hard to understand.
Since White is playing down a piece and Black's pieces are close to his king I would think that White should stand much worse and no attack would be justified. Impressive play by Cherub.

It does seem funny that an attack worked. I think the reason was that black didn't play ...e5, and hence there was some disconnect between his pieces and the kingside.
And yeah , one thing to notice is that I was playing rather slowly and positionally after giving black the pawn structure at the beginning. I'm not sure if it's best, but it's certainly an idea - there's no rush to attack.
