One valuable lesson that you learned from chess !?

I learned that :

“Fear is the enemy of will. Will is what makes you take action. Fear is what stops you and makes you weak. You must ignore your fear. When you’re afraid, you can’t act.”

Never take a board game too seriously.

There will always be anyone stronger than you.

Making aggressive decisions without also considering safety is foolish, but avoiding aggressive decisions is also foolish.

That's true in chess, stock market investing, real estate, planning treks into the mountains, cruising out on Chesapeake Bay, etc. etc.

I like your first post ESP. It is a nice thought.

I agree with you. We need to dominate our fears. I find that I will usually avoid tactical fights just because I am afraid. It then turns out I was winning the tactical fight...

If you're interested in truth, you have to be critical of ideas you find attractive. An idea that hasn't been tempered by the fire of criticism is worth nothing.
