One valuable lesson that you learned from chess !?

Making aggressive decisions without also considering safety is foolish, but avoiding aggressive decisions is also foolish.
That's true in chess, stock market investing, real estate, planning treks into the mountains, cruising out on Chesapeake Bay, etc. etc.
I learned that :
“Fear is the enemy of will. Will is what makes you take action. Fear is what stops you and makes you weak. You must ignore your fear. When you’re afraid, you can’t act.”
