Find a group of people who feel the same way that YOU do.
Then have fun.

You focus too much on winning or losing. That's why you're not enjoying things.
Chess should be about enjoying the challenge of the game itself. If you're only here to win, of course you're going to get frustrated - because you can't win all the time. You simply can't.
If you play against opponents at your level, you should expect to lose 50% of your games. That's a normal win/loss ratio.
Looking at my stats, I lose 47% of the time, and I win 45% of the time. That means I lose slightly more than I win. And I'm okay with that.
It's part of the game. It's how you learn and grow ...
Looking at your stats, you win 48% of the time, and you lose 47% of the time. That means you win more often than I do ... Think about it. You're not doing as badly as you think.

I’ve been playing online with some regularity since 1998, completing approximately 160,000 games.
Yes, even winning sometimes fails to bring pleasure. Yes, there are cheaters and other poor sports.
No, it is not wholly a waste of time. Online play keeps me playing between the few OTB tournaments I play each year. Online play has both helped and hurt my game in different ways, but mostly helped. Having played so many games, there is very little that an opponent can do to take me out of preparation.
In 1998, My OTB rating was under 1500. It then rose over the next few years, peaking at 1982 when I was still young (52) and has mostly stayed above 1800 into my mid-60s.
I made this post when I was in full tilt, I'm trying to remind myself its a game and that losing is my fault first, it takes time to change I'm working on it. Thanks to all for both positive and negative.
