You have to begin by understanding what is the "idea behind an opening" specific openings have specific plans built into them all you have to do is find out which and play for it in your games. Remember that not all openings have a plan to attack or anything of the sort- attacking isin't everything in chess.

hey guys I have been playing chess sense i was 10 i'm not so good but what i lack in the most is midgame i studyed opening with black and white and i know most of them.
My question is today I do great in opening I have exellent control of the center but then What?
In many games i try to attack the king side but i fail or mess up in some way or the oponent goes after my weak sides and wins
so if any suggestions please help out.
