I found the same in slighty larger version. But the explanation on why chess players are most likely straight I think it's just an Speculation. If we have to speculate I like more this one: most players come from countries where people don't recognize openly they have "non-traditional sexual orientation"
I'm willing to bet Yasser Seirawan is homosexual..but as stated above, who gives?

this is the problem with homosexuals.
they are ingrained into themselves too much.
they incorporate anal sex into all life activity.
i understand fecal activity. it is when i sit on the toilet.
it has never been about family, children, Heavenly Father, or any other life circumstance.
as mammals we need to defecate. we do it in private.
homosexual "sex" should also be done in private....and not in the world, the public park, not in the school cloakroom, the catholic church or in the public politic.
...a filthy life.

I know for sure a few issues for which I choose. I became an atheist long before I left an extremely Christian environment.
But I'm unsure about others.
I never got to choose being straight, and I do not know of anyone (gay or straight) who felt he had the choice either. My political views almost all amount to "XXX said that and I agree with him" (XXX is changing of course), and although I make the effort to read writings from all sides, I might just have been tricked by clever rhetoric sometimes.
Yeah, I wasn't think about preferences. I prefer vanilla to chocolate cake and I never chose that. What I had in mind was more along the lines of philosophy on certain things. Yes, like Christianity.
