And our brains too
our heart is with Japan
not sure how much our heart helps but our charity and money is what they really need right now.
No, what they really need are physical places to live and things to eat.
Buy it from where? The market that has collapsed in on itself? The hardware store that is sold out?
Ok, let's just forget what they need and go back to feeling good about ourselves by feeling bad for other people.
'The exodus of foreigners contrasts with the stoic resignation of millions of Japanese around them. Despite the supposed threat of nuclear Armageddon, black-suited salarymen can be seen going to work every day as usual. Housewives calmly queue for bread, water and petrol around the city.' - quote from Independent. Strange ppl these Japanese I'd run like a rath.
Fezzik do you really think tht Japan needs financial support??? I would rather give money to build wells in Africa. Ofcourse it's a disaster but I am sure Japanese as a very resorceful nation can manage.
Dude... you may want to check your t.v., it seems to be a week behind!
(Seriously though, t&p to the Japanese).
Ok I understand that people (including myself) can feel sympathy to Japanese an feel the need to solidarize with them somehow - some want to give money. But how can you seriously think that economical superpowers like U.S. or Japan can't manage crisis themselves?
I mean that I am confident that government of economical superpower like Japan can take care for all who need help> with so many resources at their disposal
I'm starting to think that few more posts and i'm going to be eaten alive by all those who want to pray and give money. LOL
Wow.
Thank you, pdela, for starting this thread. It's a shame there's been so much ugliness in the comments so far.
Japan needs our support. Our thoughts and prayers are a good start. Those who can donate money will find their money well-spent.
I totally agree!
They need prayers AND money for relief.
With all the media hype over the problems with the nuclear power plant, it is easy to forget the utter devastation wrought by the massive earthquake and tsunami.
The mean-spirited might one day find themselves in a dire situation which may soften their hearts to suffering.
the kind-spirited might as well. that's how nature works. we're all at her mercy.
ilikeflags more and more
In Japan, folding a thousand paper cranes is said to grant a wish. A whole bunch of friends and I folded the full 1000 in school with the help of our Japanese teacher, and we're sending them to Japan along with our prayers as a symbol of sympathy and help.
(We also donated a whole lot to the Red Cross, of course.
Also, super props to the Touhou fan-forum shrinemaiden.org, for raising $3,299.26 and counting from its members! Go, everyone, go!)
We are all just part of the same...Japan needs our help now, and this sould be our focuss...everyone needs a helping hand at some point...even the once mighty.
...no matter how much wealth or arrogance you may have...pain and suffering will one day find you...hope you too have someone to help you...
