Over one minute left, game abandoned?

I just lost a live game due to abandonment, with over one minute left.  Am I misunderstanding time controls?  It was a 15/10 game.  I thought both sides get their 15 minutes (+10 seconds per move).  Does chess.com use different time rules than OTB?

You must have disconnected for 50 seconds plus, and then that means you auto-resign, or abandon a game.

I never left the game.  Or at least I didn't stop looking at the position.  I suppose it's possible that my internet service went out, but that doesn't seem likely based on the stability of the service.
