Over The Board Chess Can be Dangerous-Killed my best friend!!?

That's a shame. I imagine that online chess can provide all or most of the same stress.
It was interesting that they were monitoring the heart rates of the participants in the Freestyle Chess event. One of the announcers reported that Fabiano Caruana's pulse had risen to 170 during a mad time scramble versus Aronian in one of the games. (I know that it's not the same thing as blood pressure.)
That's sad
Chess is an incredibly stressful game you need to be super careful about it that's why chess is a sport mentally it screws you over
Btw gms have burned thousands of calories in chess matches just from stress and overthinking

I’m sorry, but this is from the person who wanted to generate outrage about GothamChess being awarded GM norms for his online blitz play not once but in 3 separate threads, with no recognition that it was an April Fool’s joke even after it was pointed out to him

Having already demonstrated a willingness to bend the truth, I think this is also an exaggeration at best, but more likely a fabrication to attract attention.

My friend John was a passionate chess player, but his high blood pressure always bothered me. When he would pass out at the board, it was a shock to all of us. Chess requires maximum concentration, and this can be dangerous for those struggling with cardiovascular problems. So while playing at the board brings joy and fulfillment, taking care of your health should be paramount. If you have any health problems, make sure to consult your doctor before competing at the chess board. Also, to relax after a game, I can recommend taking a look at the range of products at https://westcoastbud.io/. Good products to help you relax and enjoy the moment after an intense game.
