I think chess.com has considered this before for non-titled players (titled players already have Titled Tuesday), but the risk of cheating is just too high and there's no easy way to get around that.
I welcome any suggestions on how to make these work, though; I would like to do small paid tournaments if they became available.

The site has run at least one event with entry fees. I don't think it did very well overall, though I'm not absolutely sure. I don't recall seeing any more after that or updates about it.
What if you make it available for 3|2 rapid and bullet. To limit d time for cheaters to use engines. Because classical chess will give them enough time to consult chess engines.

If there are prizes for unknown players there'll be cheaters. Guaranteed 100%.
OK. Like higher rated players coming to compete with lower rated ones

Sounds really good but due to people being so warped I don't think it will work out . Not enough people have repented of their sins & begged for forgiveness.
There is a solution to every problem. The main problem according to most of you is "cheating" let's workout a solution

Cheating online basically doesn't have a solution. It even happens in titled events.
