I've had that happen before. I forget what causes it. Clear your browser cache and come back to the live chess server and it should resolve.
Pawn re-introduced and placed infront my queen

Hi,
I was playing chess on mac and suddenly a captured pawn was placed in front my queen(the space was blank). Is it a legal move or it a glitch in the software?
Update - This happened with other captured pieces also like Knight and bishop..
