Pawns - ya can't live with 'em. Ya can't live without 'em

Let's face it, pawns are always getting in the way.

But without them, where would we be?

UIltimately, pawns make us better players.  Better people.  Better citizens.

They teach us strategy, discipline, how to dance around the chess board gracefully.

When you see a pawn in distress, don't ignore it, or pretend it's not there.  Don't treat it like the whole purpose of its existence is to die for your cause.  Treat pawns with respect, and one day, just maybe, one day, that pawn may save your life.

Life is a metaphor for chess.  Chess is a metaphor for metaphor.  That which defies description is defied by description.  One cannot avoid the inevitable indefinitely. Therfore ... by analogy, buy analogy.

Of course I would save your life.  What kind of human being would I be if I just let you die?  We are not monsters.  Yes, we want to win, but we all win when we win together.
