People abuse system

Look at my game vs [public accusations not allowed -- MOD]

I was waiting for more than 7 min before I won on time.

People keep account opened and do not move., but stay online "plaing" with keyboard.

And they do not lose the game until all the time is gone.

It is not the first game when this happens.

And this is worse than just disconnecting - abuse makes sure that you waste your time.

Such people have to be banned.

I fail to see how this is an abuse of the game.

When you decide to enter a game understand what it could mean. If it is a 10 min game it could potentially last 20 mins. You have 10 mins to use as you wish in which to play the game as your opponent DOES,your opponent may use 8 minutes on one move, thats up to them.

I would ask,''why are you so stirred up by having to wait, what does waiting bring up for you''?

AlexMaly

waiting for opponent move for 10 min is not a game.

people come to play.

otherwise why game does not wait 10 min when the game starts?

Pikelemi
You should have resigned.
AlexMaly

I fail to resign, you fail in everything else.... may be not in trolling .... why on chess.com?

Technically what he did is legal. It's just not fun for you. Your opponent is allowed spend time however he pleases, whether it's taking a lunch break or taking a nap. Just go find something else to do while he's doing whatever so you don't get bored or irritated. Or, like Pikelemi said, if it bugs you that much you could always resign.

On one site I found time setting like 60/5 min which means 60 min for whole game but no more than 5 min for any move. But that is against general FIDE system. May be chess.com can implement that type of time option for benefit of those who don't want to wait.

You are allotted a certain amount of time to make all of your moves in the chess game. You are allowed to utilize this time in any proportion to any move you choose. Even the first one. How can one make an arbitrary decision on how much time a player is allowed on each move? Do you have to play the 13th move in less than 3 minutes because I say you do? No. Then why does he have to play the 1st move in the amount of time you want him to?

When you sit down to a game, prepare a time block the sum of both players time. If he doesn't move when you want him to, study a chess book or play a computer to keep sharp. Problem solved.

gingerninja2003

they do this in the slim hope that you get fed up and resign. either that or they just want to #'@* you off.

I actually like when that happen. It give me a free five minuites, and a win the game without doing anymore thinking.
