I find that the folks I lose to never accuse me of using a chess engine. Oddly enough. And I block those temper tantrum tyrants that are losing and try to get me off my game by making accusations. Then I report them for being abusive. We all need to police this site to help each other from the buffoons. But mostly, I have found those of you whom I have played to be of exemplary character.
If you win, it's obvious you were cheating.
When ive been playing on here for about 3 years ive had about 10 opponents at least out of my 5682 rapid games and 2595 blitz games who accuse me of using an engine to beat them. deep down i take it as a compliment because they say i play perfectly when in actuality i get annoyed and angry because that is simply not the case. for instance i spend about 50 hours a week studying chess (primarily tactics, tacticmania book, 1000 sacrifices reinfield, chess tactics for advanced players averbakh, i read about 40 books of chess minimally over 4 years). to say my skill is not legitimate makes me want to smash a hole in my wall with a cell phone. chess is a difficult sport and requires alot of work and it is inexcusable to play the blame game as an excuse for your loss. if you do that then you will not improve. you must look at your mistakes first then see how your opponent could have played better. now, i know there probably were legitimate cases of engine cheating and i understand that. i have pointed the finger a few times myself, but when i analyze the game it seems the opponent using an engine was not the case. what i do currently is i dont assume they are cheating, i play my game, i dont play the opponent, i play against the pieces, and i just do my thing, in the aftermath in analysis when they play too perfectly then you should consult chess.com support, or contact them via message. in any case the chess.com anti cheating system will take care of it. to accuse without evidence is like saying the tooth fairy exists when there are no scriptural documents or concrete evidence. anyways good luck with your chess dear reader and i hope you are respectful to players so they dont have to vent (like me), and i hope you catch the cheaters and let them face up to the consequences of their actions.
