peter svidler ???

Hello I've made it part of my agenda to learn more aout todays world elite's and there style's of play but what keeps bugging me is I don't have a clue what peter svidler style of play isUndecided does someone know I know he's still one of the world's elites but I couldn't find anythng that talks about his style of play.

I would say Svidler is somewhere between Nezhmetdinov and Petrosian Tongue out

heh.. but in all seriousness he is a well rounded (universal) player. I believe Svidler himself has said that.

 

Im not sure how much learning about SGMs styles will help improvement.. is it for fun?

He is similar to Kramnik, positional and could be aggressive if demand.

Search him at Chessbase, and look at his games, and his index.

Just searching him, i can se all info about him, over 3000 games with him, his elo graph, game statestic (he played about 270 games 2004!), his super gm opponents (he played 86 games with kramnik!), and most important his repetoire:
