I agree but they are going forward with it anyway. I'm gonna give it a chance and see if I can adapt.

That's great, I wished everyone had the same mindset.

I like the new chess.com, actually I have forgotten all about the old one. What was it like again?

What is so great about v2? v2 had one of the most horrible layouts I Have ever seen in my entire life.

thegreat_patzer

v3 is the "strongly encouraged" form of chess.com

either get on this train- or you won't be invited to the inauguration and a certain someone will make your life miserable with tweets to hordes of awful, despicables that will burn you house down.

v3 will last 4 years- global recession will happen, nuclear war will burn, and no one in the whole world will like you...

.....

you know I am talking about chess.com-  similarities to anything else is NOT intentional.

the real point here folks is that it is Happening.  Get on the train and hope it doesn't crash and burn...

BronsteinPawn

Just play the game

thegreat_patzer

Ha!

if no one grumbled about the new v3.  what would this place be like.  a ghost town?!  even our resident Mexican troll would have moved to more exciting places

(like knitting.com)

a warm thank you for those keeping the lights on.

If the developers would speed up the new site, we might not be have this conversation.  The old site used html tables and extensive use of javascript.  But with html5 and css and less javascript, you get more functionality but less speed.  so speeding up the site may not be all that possible.  Plus browser developers are trying  to get away from old style html.

QuantumChessLord

Picture of old site is in the petition.

To be fair, that topic is a mixture of support for v2, support for v3, asking and answering questions on how to do things in v3, etc. And there is a small sub-section of the community posting there.  Probably 10 members account for 50% of the posts there grin.png

The new chess.com is better than the old.

Thank you @Erik for making a major improvement to the site. The interface, for a start, is much much better in the new version.
