Accidents are EXTREMELY, rare in terms of flagging. almost everytime its deliberate.
The punishment should be severe, ur wasting the other persons time for no good reason, often in positions that are completely lost for the flagger.
Why would wasting someones time for so long and delaying as well as doing that in a lost position only warrant a small punishment? It's unacceptable.

The mods are exaggerating it. Sure, if you're stalling, maybe, but lets say you go on vacation and you just flag as an accident. A straight up ban doesn't make sense. Maybe a warning, but not a ban!
Mods don't do anything for flagging in Daily. If you flag, you lose and your timeout percentage goes up. If your timeout percentage is too high, over a 90 day rolling period, you may not be able to join some Daily tournaments, but that is the extent of the "punishment".

I've seen some people get banned for "fair play issues" after losing like 7 daily games on time

Sure, he flagged like 30 games, but that doesn't suddenly mean that he should be banned. If hes making multiple and flagging a lot, ok, but forgetting to log on to a site because you're on vacation in the bahamas or something doesnt mean you should suddenly just get banned.
Furthermore, he didn't flag all those games on purpose.
